ABOUT THE ECMI
EMBRACING DIVERSITY SINCE 1996
At the ECMI, we believe that diversity makes
the world vibrant and exciting. Founded in
1996 by the forward-thinking governments of
Denmark, Germany, and Schleswig-Holstein,
our mission is clear: to promote respect for
diversity across all sectors of society. From
addressing majority-minority issues to
fostering cooperation and understanding, we
are dedicated to championing unity in
diversity like never before!
BRIDGING THE GAP - THEORY MEETS
PRACTICE
We don’t just dwell in the ivory tower of
theories. We’re all about action! We excel at
connecting theory and practice, research and
politics, and bringing mainstream politicians
together with passionate minority activists.
Our secret? A blend of interdisciplinary
theoretical and empirical studies combined
with a wealth of practical activities and
initiatives.
We believe that through
heightened awareness
of minority rights and
minority issues among
all relevant actors, we
can facilitate respect for
diversity in all aspects of
society.
