JAKOB VOLGGER
Jakob Volgger is a junior researcher at the
Center for Autonomy Experience at Eurac
Research, where he studies issues related to
autonomy and minority protection in South
Tyrol. As the Center also serves as the
headquarters for the European Association
of Daily Newspapers in Minority and
Regional Languages (MIDAS), he is involved
in the association's projects and conducts
research on minority language media. His
recent research has focused on the role of
minority language media in language
maintenance, as well as the history of
cooperation between minority language
newspapers within MIDAS. He holds a
Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a
Master's degree in Social Work, Social
Policy, and Social Management.

SZILÁRD SEBŐK
Szilárd Sebők is a graduate of the Faculty of
Arts at Comenius University, with a degree
in Aesthetics and Hungarian Studies. He
completed his doctoral studies in 2016 at
the Department of Hungarian Language
and Literature, specializing in General
Linguistics. He later worked as a translator
and editor at the News Agency of the Slovak
Republic (TASR). Since 2018, he has been
working at the Department of Hungarian
Language and Literature, where he teaches
Hungarian as a foreign language and
courses related to translation and
interpretation. His research focuses on the
methodology of language description,
language ideologies, language issues, and
metaphors. He summarized his research
findings in a monograph titled Meta és
nyelv: Kísérletek a nyelvleírás nyelvének
leírására [Meta/Language: Attempts to
Describe the Language of Description]
(2017).
