CRAIG WILLIS
Craig Willis is a Researcher at the European
Centre for Minority Issues and a PhD
Candidate at the Europa-Universität
Flensburg, focusing predominately on the
topic of minority language media.
Previously a visiting researcher at
Universidad Carlos III Madrid, Craig is also
on the steering committee of the
International Association for Minority
Language Media Research and also the
International Conference on Minority
Languages. He recently led a successful
COST Action application titled Language
Plurality in Europe’s Changing Media Sphere
(PLURLINGMEDIA) as the main proposer
and is the Chair Candidate for the Action
which will run from 2024-2028.

EDITA SLEZÁKOVÁ
Edita Slezáková is the President of the
European Association of Minority and
Regional Language Daily Newspapers
(MIDAS). This non-profit organization is
based at the Center for Autonomy
Experience of the European Academy
EURAC in Bolzano. Edita Slezáková attended
the University of Economics in Bratislava
and completed her postgraduate studies in
Journalism at Comenius University in
Bratislava. She worked as an economic
journalist for the Hungarian minority daily
newspaper Új Szó in Slovakia and served as
the managing director of the Vox Nova
publishing house in Bratislava until 2000,
which at the time published the minority
newspapers Új Szó and Vasárnap. She then
served as a board member at the Petit Press
publishing house, overseeing the printing
department and directing the Hungarian
titles until 2019. Currently, Edita Slezáková is
responsible for publishing the Hungarianlanguage newspapers Új Szó and Vasárnap
at Duel-Press, Bratislava.
