NICOLE DOŁOWY-RYBIŃSKA
Nicole is an anthropologist and
sociolinguist, and a professor at the
Institute of Slavic Studies (Department of
Linguistics) of the Polish Academy of
Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Cultural
Studies from the University of Warsaw
(2010). Her primary research interests
include European minority languages and
communities, as well as the transmission,
maintenance, and revitalization of minority
languages, with a focus on language policy
in education and activism. She is also
interested in the situation of national,
ethnic, and linguistic minorities in Poland.
Nicole has conducted fieldwork in Kashubia
(Poland), Lusatia (Germany), Brittany
(France), and Wales (UK). She is a member of
several academic societies and the author of
six monographs and numerous articles. She
has led several research grants and is
currently leading a research project on
Linguistic Diversity in Poland (2021-2026).
She is also participating in engaged
research in Lusatia, Germany, focusing on
efforts to revitalize the Upper Sorbian
language, conducted by Domowina, the
umbrella organization of the Sorbian people
(2023-2026).

VICENT CLIMENT-FERRANDO
Vicent Climent-Ferrando is the research
coordinator at the UNESCO Chair on
Language Policies for Multilingualism at
Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.
His research focuses on language policies as
public policies, language for immigrant
integration, and language rights.
He completed his postdoctoral research at
the European Research Consortium MIME
(Mobility and Inclusion in a Multilingual
Europe) and earned his PhD from Sciences
Po Paris and Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
